Generally speaking, you can check for changes in their appearance, odd behavior, or digestive problems. These symptoms could indicate a number of different illnesses, so be sure to contact your vet if you notice any of them. Next, check your bird for dull, sunken, or half-closed eyes with discharge or redness around them. Then, look for discoloration, flakiness, or discharge around the beak and nostrils.
